My Father's Birthday 2016

Ever since I graduated from college I already promised to myself that I will go home to my hometown in Mindoro every September 1 to celebrate my fathers birthday.

From 2010 to present I am doing this oath without missed which I started as only me due to financial constrain until such time that I can already bring my whole family back home to celebrate with me.

This year 2016 marks a very special beginning of a new chapter of our life as a family. We were able to build our own house in the center of our Barangay in Loyal, Victoria Oriental Mindoro which we always dreamed of back in our childhood times.

Since September 1 this year is Thursday I need to file 2 days vacation leave in my office to give way for this vow. The good thing is, my bosses are good enough to approve my leaves although I'm still not regular employee in my new company.

Since our youngest (bunso) and our second eldest are no longer in the country I only went home with my two sisters and my niece.

We took bus from Boni Ave to Batangas Port that lasted for 4 hours.

From Batangas Port we then took Ship which unfortunately longer than the normal speed. It took us 5 hours to be ported to Calapan City port for unknown reason which usually takes only 2 hours.

However, we're able to take UV express the moment easily after porting.

I'm already so sleepy that time as the UV travels to Victoria Oriental Mindor since that's already around 5AM (September 1, 2016) but the moment I am already about to sleep is when my sister wake me up for drop off.

From Victoria center our last trip was through tricycle to our Brgy called Loyal which is located at the foot of the mountain Tralala. :P

Upon reaching our new home a very dear kiss and hug to our very dear Father.

Since its already his birthday and the construction of our house is still on going I took the initiative to take charge of everything for his party.

With my two sisters, we return to the town center to buy the foods for a small party celebrations and since its already a last minute we ended up buying ingredients for pancit and pinudot which are very common in our Barangay.

Usually in our small community, every party is being done in the afternoon as it is the only time that people are all alive (gising na gising ika nga) so they can really come to our new house so at around 3pm the people started to drop by.

And wait theres more at night the traditional INUMAN with VIDEOKE cannot be omitted from the equation.

The Next day, it was my turn to treat some of my cousins and nephew for a another inuman where i actually got shut down.

While the inuman is ongoing my 2 sisters and our father went to our old house for a visit.

PS. We also went there a day after the bday.

The lastly the most expected yet most hate part is heading back to manila.

It was a very relaxing enjoyable and once again unforgettable birthday celebration of my father.
Until Next year Folks! :)
