HPCUP Dance Throw-down 2015

Every Year Hewlett-Packard celebrates their very own version of Olympic wherein there will be certain number of teams that have to compete with each other, and at the end of the season of course there will be an over all winner.

Just like the actual Olympic, it contains games such as Basketball, soccer, valley ball, Billiards, and some board games to name a few.

Every year, the most anticipating part of it, is the Dance Throw Down that has the most number of audience participation.

Seven groups participated in this year's competition and one of them is where I am part of.

The Boys while dancing the 711 by Beyonce

Dancing has and will always be my passion but I can say, our training before the actual performance is never a joke. It demands our full cooperation, hardship, sacrifice and focus.
Zophia, one of our Core Member

However, what made this event even more special is the reality that we gain more friends. Our team didnt only give us something to be proud of as part of the team but also a friendship that really changed our perspective in terms of competition.

We realized that, in a competition, it doesn't matter if you lose, as long as you did your best, you enjoyed the performance and most specially you give the hundred percent of you then winning is just a bonus.

Our Last Shot. #TitansForTheWin

HPCUP2015 has just ended last October 11, 2015 but the friendship between us continues. .

But before I finally give you the full performance let me just thanks all the people behind our fight.

Sir Dadly and Maam Sarah for always giving us your full support all throughout the process.

Now to finally end my article please Watch and Share this video. We appreciate comments. Thank you :)

Hate The Sin NOT the SINNER! The Erickson Ignacio Marcos Issue

I saw a trending topic in Facebook about a particular 5-year-degree holder from National University under the name Erickson Ignacio Marcos wherein (as I read the article of the one posted) it seems Erickson is mocking the Call Center Agent job. It is no longer a unique issue in the Philippines because a lot of the same stories have done in the past but what made it caught my attention is the EXAGGERATION of the NETIZENS in dealing with the issue. Let us first read the whole statement posted by Erickson in his Facebook account which i think is already deactivated.

Reading the original post will actually explain everything I wanted to say but let me reiterate my point.

I personally dreamed to be a call center agent way back in college, but I think God prepared something different for me so I ended up in my own field and I cant see anything wrong in being a call center agent anyway, in fact it is one of the highest paying job in the country and for that reason, call center agents are one of those "HIGH TAX PAYER" so they value a lot in the government.

Personally, I don't agree in Erickson's statements it has a lot of MISCONCEPTION, MISUNDERSTANDING, and maybe IGNORANCE of the real ESSENCE of a CALL CENTER JOB,  but I understand where he is coming from.

If we will look closely on the post, Erickson has a lot of disclaimers every time he will step on the red zone of mocking the CSR job by putting "no offense". Besides, what he is actually mocking and also disappointed is, their school (the National University) for referring their graduates (specifically him) in a job wherein sometimes we don't need a 5-year-degree to obtain. From how I understand in his post, their University itself (correct my if I'm wrong in using 'it' for a university) is not confident enough to refer their products in the company where they can apply every knowledge that they (the university) injected to their students as far as their (the students) chosen field is concern.

Some of the comments that i read done by the netizens who showed their angry and disappointments are the following:

However, I found an interesting comment under the name of Tante Naliw

To Erickson Ignacio Marcos, I understand your points but I just hope you made it more comprehensive and you use appropriate words. The people is expecting a lot from you since you highlighted  that you are a 5-YEAR-DEGREE holder.

To the netizens like me, let us not be drowned to our emotions. We all have different challenges in life, different way of expressing our selves. I noticed that  the comments are more harsh than the statement done by Erickson.

Let us review our basic rule in the argument.

"Attack the REMARKS not the PERSON, that is a FALLACY of AD HOMINEM"

I neither against nor in the side of anyone on this matter, I'm just stating by points and trying to read between the lines. Thank you fro reading. :)

Guest Speaker Speech for OLMHRA last 2011

Hello folks... How are you?? i miss you all..here is my new article about my experience in my First ever Guess Speaking event.
As one of the Alumnus of our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Academy, I was chosen to be this school year 2010-2011 Graduation Guess Speaker.
I cant deny the truth that i am very overwhelm, and excited because being one is actually my dream.. and i am very happy to fulfill that dream....
The graduation was held last March 31, 2011, at the OLMHRA Hall (which we called "cowcowan" ).
As a first time speaker in a graduation event (because its just a year after my own graduation from college) i cant really express the feelings.. I just did what i think is i need and suppost to do during the process...
For all the people who are present on that graduation,,, I hope you were able to undersatand my messege specially to all the graduates....
and for you to understand it clearly.. here is my speech..that i am reading onstage.... Read for yourself..
Please be reminded that Engr. is not my TITLE, It is my PROFESSION.
and here it goes,....
Good Afternnon!
THE GRADUATE:" A PARTNER TOWARDS TRANSFORMATION SOCIETY, AN ANSWER TO SOCIETAL CHANGE."
Before anything else i just want to ask the graduates this question;
Are you part of the problem or the answer?
This is just a short speech don’t worry. It will only take 5 minutes of your time, so I need you’re attention for 5 minutes. So lets start..
Before anything else I would like to thank all of you guys for inviting me here. I feel very proud to be you’re guess speaker here today. I think I was able to fulfill one of my dreams so thank you so much.
Next thing that I want to acknowledge is of coarse the graduates. They are the reason why we are gather here today and I wan to give them all the praises and admiration for making all the way up this point of their life as a high school student of this institution.
Let us give them a big round of applause.
My speech is not particular to those who will graduate with awards, not even only for those who have a strong foundation of academic influence but rather for all of you here today wearing a toga, who are about to embark the new challenges in search for your own destiny.
Graduates this day is for you. I want all of you to feel like you are very special today. To feel like it’s all yours. I want you to feel like today you are in equal to everyone here. I want you to feel very proud that you did it in spite of every struggle that you’ve encountered in the past. I want to congratulate you for making you’re 4 years of high school a very fun, exciting and memorable one.
BOB Ong has this to say:
That’s why I encourage you guys to be more responsible in everything you do, and waste not the chance that our parents are giving us. Take advantage of it. Live like every seconds count.
Alam nyo:
I can recall in one of the speech that our very own bishop has stated, and goes like this:
In a parable of one’s talent: the one who received five and earned another five is as great as the one who received three and earned another three if both were able to earned the highest possible profit based on their respective ability to invest the amount given to them.
You know what I really love that statement, I used to apply that to myself during my college life.
I can no longer count how many times I fall, how many times I encountered trials, felt the pain, so what I did is,, even though I know that it hurts, I still found the courage to continue to sail on, to continue to hope for the better, coz I know that God is just there to back me up. Siguro kung nagpatalo ako dati sa mga pagsubok wala ako dito sa harap nyo ngayon, kaya graduates, as what is stated here in our stage..
You are the “PARTNERS TOWARDS TRANSFORMATION OF THE SOCIETY, THE ANSWERS TO SOCIETAL CHANGE”
Now if youre gonna return the question i have asked you a while ago,
i will neither be part of the two because i want to be part of the Solution, because it doesnt matter how long you finished, it matters HOW you finished.
DAHIL KUNG KINAYA KO, SIGURADO AKO NA MAS KAYA NYO, IMPOSIBLENG HINDE.
Thank you so much for listening. Good Luck to all of you, and once again accept my warmth Greetings of CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thank you..
Always,

Cebu Experience '12

It All Started with a lunch with my friend Reena in Mang Inasal Eastwood way back 2012. It was in relation to the idea that one of our dearest friend Mau with Marvin (her boyfriend who've been my friend also since college) is already working in Cebu.

That time Reena is still looking for a place where she can relax and forget everything about Manila and so I am.  Before the lunch was over, we came into a single decision: We will go to Cebu in November of that year.

Everything went well after that. I prepared everything for our Cebu Experience since I have the most convenient schedules in my office.

Until the time came: November 22, 2012 at 6am in the morning we reached the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

while waiting for our flight

That will be my first airplane experience, that's why I'm so excited. Before we finally got in to the plane we took a picture first:
one of my ultimate dreams when i was a child is to take  a single airplane experience.

The flight took almost 2 hours from Manila to  Mactan International Airport so I had a chance to take some photos while in space.

I was so amazed by this experience that time
a huge body of water.

and after some more minutes we finally reached the destination. Mactan International Airport, next step of course picture:

From Mactan Airport we took a taxi bound to a specific camp ( i already forgot the name of the place but its nearby IT Park).

From there Mau fetched us and we proceeded to her boarding house. We took our lunch and had some rest. at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon we went to Magellan's Cross near Cebu City Hall.

I cant believe I am seeing this thing already, because I only saw it in our Philippine History book during elementary days. However, i was surprised that its just as small as that, I thought its something bigger than what i saw, but I still felt contented and fulfilled.

And of course, are we going to skip Sto. Nino Cathedral? No.
We get in the Cathedral where I was so amazed of the design and arts inside:
Can I get in?

come on join me

Sto. Nino Cathedral in Cebu.

Beside the entrance of Sto. Nino Cathedral.

Inside the Church, a mass is ongoing during that time.

After staying for minutes inside, we decided to go outside and walked around the vicinity.

It getting late already when we decided to go to a nearby park near Cebu City Hall. The park that time is still under construction, but already open to the public.
The Picture can speak for itself. haha

at around 9PM we decided to go home and had our "Inuman" session in a particular bar in IT Park with Pareng Marvin.

and the rest is history. Thats our first day in Cebu. City. Day Two is more exciting. Stay tuned. Thanks.
